Pumpkin Spice Latte M&Ms Exist

Yep. They are real.

NEWS:   Pumpkin Spice Latte M&Ms are real and available in stores.

Social media users (skeptical after Oreo hoaxes that included Cheeseburger, Spam, Fried Chicken, and Bacon) have been cautiously tweeting about the rumored arrival of Pumpkin Spice M&M's.

In addition to frequent Oreo pranks on social media sites (tempered by legit Oreo flavors Red Velvet and S'mores), the favored fall flavor of pumpkin spice has inspired rampant fakery. In 2014, rumors of pumpkin spice condoms and tampons predictably proved to be the work of clever photoshoppers.

But on 20 August 2015, food blog The Impulsive Buy published an article titled "SPOTTED ON SHELVES: Pumpkin Spice Latte Milk Chocolate M&M’s." That article was followed up by a review, opining:

These M&M’s are beefier than their normal counterparts, edging close to “a dime on Viagra” sized. The scent wafting from the bag reminds me of my “Pumpkin Splendor” scented candle that I’ve considered eating more times than I’d like to admit. This is a good sign.

I pop one into my mouth, chew, and then immediately shovel a whole handful into my gaping maw. Regardless of your religion’s stance on the existence of the Great Pumpkin, you’d better believe that these suckers are real -— real tasty, that is.

On 25 August 2015, the official Twitter account for M&Ms acknowledged the new fall flavor:

According to PEOPLE, Pumpkin Spice Latte M&Ms are available at Target as a seasonal flavor.
